KIA Green-Lights Rear Wheel Drive Sportscar

The concept was the talk of the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2011, boasting striking design and a rear-wheel drive layout.  It came with a concept V6 3.3-liter turbo engine delivering 395 horsepower sent to the rear axle with help from an 8-speed automatic transmission.  The KIA GT excites with just a glance and looks more like a jet plane and less like a car.
The great looking concept is being reported to have been green-lit for production and eventual showroom arrival in 2016, complete with its Rear-Wheel-Drive setup.

Before that, KIA plans to unveil some brand new concepts in January 2014 at the North American International Auto Show.  Plans to unveil a roadster concept and a GT version of the KIA Rio as well as a new 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder gasoline engine which will be available on the Kia Cee’d starting in 2015.

The design and engineer teams at KIA have been shaking up the automotive industry and the plans on the horizon look to be revolutionary.  Truly there is no better time to see what the meteoric-rising automaker has to offer than right now, and there’s no better place to do so than at Capitol KIA at 13573 U.S. Highway 183 N. in Austin, Texas today!
